Stintino & La Pelosa

Stintino town is home to one of the most famous and most beautiful beaches in the whole Mediterranean: Spiaggia La Pelosa.

This truly picture-perfect beach offers Caribbean-like white sands and shallow, incredibly turquoise waters, making it the perfect place for a family beach day.

Its unique placement overlooking Isola Piana, The Asinara Island and characteristic Torre della Pelosa, makes this place a popular tourist destination (well, it’s definitely Instagram worthy!).
During the high season, booking a ticket online is required to access the beach.

In our opinion, the middle of May is the best moment for visiting La Pelosa, as the weather is usually warm enough to enjoy the water, yet it’s still fairly empty.

Porto Pollo

Porto Pollo is a famous spot among kite-surfers, windsurfers and other water sports enthusiasts. This unique location offers two fantastic beaches: Spiaggia di Porto Pollo and Spiaggia di Barrabisa overlooking two different bays on both sides of the peninsula.

There are numerous beach bars, restaurants, surf shop, and kitesurfing rental shops in the area.

La Marinedda

The fantastic beach outside of Isola Rosa – about 20-minute drive from the Beach Base Apartments. It’s a must-visit spot for kite-surfing and surfing enthusiasts.

Santa Teresa Gallura

A beautiful, seaside village in the most northern part of Sardinia, located 1 hour drive away from Muntiggioni. It’s definitely worth the trip to view the harbor and stunning seafront location overlooking the Corsica islands.

From Santa Teresa Gallura you can take a ferry to Corsica (the trip takes about 1h 30 minutes).

It is also a historic and lively town, a popular tourist destination with many café’s, eateries and bars with live music. The food scene is well established and most restaurants focus on seafood, pasta, pizza along with a lineup of local Sardinian dishes.

Foce del Coghinas

Fantastic lagoon with kite-surfing and other water-sports equipment rentals. Antonio and his girlfriend who run a kite-surfing school there also offer a water-taxi service that will take you in a few minutes to the other side of the lagoon. It’s reasonably priced at around 3 EUR / person round trip.

Costa Paradiso

Costa Paradiso, located about 30 minutes drive away from Muntiggioni, is a charming vacation resort village.

In this area, Sardinia reveals its romantic and enchanting soul. It’s worth the visit to explore some wonderfully secluded places to relax like Spiaggia Li Baietti.

While you’re there it’s also worth visiting a Trattoria Del Mare da Lino.

Cantina Li Seddi

If you’re looking for that one special red wine from Sardinia, then ‘Maistrali’ Cannonau di Sardegna from Cantina Li Seddi should be on your shortlist. It’s our personal favourite and it’s something truly special. Their shop is located in the Badesi town centre.

Cantina Li Duni

If you’re a wine lover, make sure to visit the Li Duni winery who produce some of the finest wines in north Sardinia. Follow their Facebook page for up-to-date information about wine tasting events. Their porch has sea views and they even organise wine tasting mixed with star-gazing for those late-evening visitors.

Badesi

Located only a few minutes drive away from Muntiggioni, Badesi is the biggest village in the area. In Badesi you will find several of our favourite places, such as Superconcas Market, MD Market, Li Seddi Winery, Gelatomania Cafe, Gastronomia La Genuina Take Away, Hollywood Pizzeria and more.

In Badesi you will also find a bank with an ATM Cash machine, a petrol station and a local church.

It’s located only a short drive from beautiful Li Junchi beach.
